gundog sites blocked

Post by Trekmoor » Wed Apr 18, 2018 5:05 am

I have just tried to take a look at other American gundog forums. Sky broadband blocked this due to quote " Weapons, Violence, Gore and Hate." It says I will need to change my settings if I want to view those forums. What on earth is going on ?

I can only think that when I set this computer (my son did it for me) not to show any kind of pornie stuff as I don't want my grandchildren to have easy access to it, this has been translated by Sky to mean anything at all !

Since when have gundog forums been equated with weapons, violence, gore and hate ? I could see any of those things just by watching a few football matches !

Just gonna this this out there, but maybe because it has “Gun” in the name (Gundog)? One site I used to frequent for traditional Bowhunters is Tradgang. The same thing happened to me when I would be at a school function and while waiting, I would use their WiFi to browse the web. The only site I couldn’t get in was Tradgang. My assumption is that the word “Gang” was in the title. I’ll have to check to see if I can log into THIS forum at the next event at the school.

I have no problems getting on to this forum even from Britain. It was when I wanted to browse other American gundog forums that SKY applied a blanket ban. When I want onto this forum all I have to do is click onto the appropriate "Favourites" button.

Well, Scotland, of course, has no history of violence, and they want to keep it the quiet nation it is, in accordance with their many centuries of pacifism.
