Moving on

Post by Pryor Creek Okie » Wed Jan 24, 2007 1:38 am

Well, it's been fun while it lasted, but the Army has decided that it is time for me to leave Alaska. It saddens me that I have to leave so soon. Although I was stationed here for three years, I spent a large percentage of that time deployed. I never got to do everything I had hoped to do in Alaska, but I'm happy to have been here to see this great land. Anyway, I'm headed to Ft. Knox and next year my dogs and I will be harrassing Kentucky birds. I do have a late season quail hunt scheduled in Oklahoma next week and I'm picking up my new pointer pup in Kansas while I'm on leave. I'll try to post some pictures when I get the chance.

I know that this is not a hunting picture, but it's one of my favorite Alaska memories.

Dood, you won't be too far from me. Drop me a line when you're ready to check out the scene here.

Best regards,

Thanks for your service time. I did that years ago. Bet the dogs will like the warmer weather if you can get in a place with some birds.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Down at Ft Sill now so I am picking up my hunting time I lost while OCONUS. I pick up my new pup in kansas soon as well. Who you getting your pup from. May be a smaller world after all. Pryor Creek,

Good luck in your relocation. I have a friend in Pryor that raises GSP's, some really nice looking dogs. His male and female are from Sundance Kennels in Missouri.
