Nice dog. All the interference from the pup and the old guy never lost it. Great work!

Dog work was excellent. Wondering how it was filmed - from vehicle, drone, walking? Nice work on camera for sure.

Silver Spur (the white pup) is a Setter. No doubt, the father is saying the same thing!

I was dove hunting with my Golden Retriever. I hit a high flyer, but it did not drop it just glided and I never saw it drop. Later when we started walking back to the car my dog picked up a scent. I let her work on it and she eventually brought back to me a wounded Dove. We were about 1,500 yards from the car. Of course I cannot be sure this was my bird, as other hunters were in the area. And the fact that when hunting dove, I always stop a few birds short of my limit, as my Golden usually finds a few cripples or just down birds that others hit and lost.

So I cannot claim a long retrieve, but I think it was a long one anyway...

My young gsp made a 500 yd retrieve last year on a rooster. Problem was, it was a bird knocked down by a different group of hunters. Had to walk over and return the bird.
