T'is images like this one captured today that stir me bird hunter's heart, a certain sign that I'll soon be back afield with me dog and gun.

True enough. there are certain maple trees around town that start to turn early each year - the rest may be 3 weeks to a month later, but they are the harbingers of Fall and hunting to me every year

Hotter than blazes all summer. Rain and into the thirties this morning. Figures, dove season opens Saturday.

Actually Art the forest grouse season opens this Thursday Aug. 30.
