Footwear for dogs?

I've seen a variety of hunting dog booties for sale lately, or whatever you want to call them. Dog shoes. Anyone use those? How do the dogs take it? Thought of getting a set after my GSP cut his foot slightly while we were hunting recently but didn't. They'd cover his whole foot, nails and all. I think he'd hate them and they'd hamper his running ability. Just curious if anyone uses them and your thoughts about them.

The dogs forget all about them when they have something to do.
I just used them out in the Oklahoma panhandle this weekend on my 5 month old setter and it was great.
