Dakota 283

Post by ohsq » Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:33 am

Will a Dakota XL be large enough for my setter? He is a larger type setter, crate will be used in back of truck under truck cap. I think inside dimensions are around 36" deepX 24" wide. My setter is tall and will probably be around 70 lbs when full grown. Thanks

It will probably be too big for a dog that size. Not sure if they make a large? I use rough tuff kennels and use an intermediate for my 62lb GSP. With Rough Tuff’s dimensions a large would be perfect for a 70lb dog. In my opinion a dog crate for travel should only be large enough for the dog to get in and turn around, they should be laying down while in the crate.

That's what I have for a leggy, thin 74 lb GWP. It fits pretty perfect.

The 50 GWP that currently sleeps in it has all the space in the world.
