Advice on possible litter funseeker Rebel x Deep Creek Myrna

Post by Trailgunner » Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:21 am

Hi,

I am getting my first EP soon. I am finalizing my decision on which kennel and breeding. I have leaned toward the higher percent Elhew dogs. I am interested in a good dog with the family in the house and my other dog. I may compete it in some FT, but true focus is hunting western wild prairie birds and some grouse in the mountains. I would expect the dog to cover some miles like my other dog so endurance is very important.

I am much more familiar with the elhew lines. I am aware Myrna is a elhew gunner offspring. Could you fill me in on the other lines and pros and cons?

Greatly appreciate it.

imo A little elhew goes a long way and some outcrosses work out well. I'm sure you know myrna
's pedigree. Elhew Gunner was a very good dog in his own right. He was not always taken good care or treated real well but still performed well and sired some good dogs. Fun Seeker is not real far back and a very good dog and producer as well. You might want to check hips and conformation carefully. All in all not a bad choice. Bill
