This pup had me frustrated a bit last fall when he temporarily decided he was a Springer rather than a pointer. He's since regained his composure and has been very staunch on his birds for the past few months. He just turned two and I'm looking forward to getting him out on the prairie after sharptails in six weeks. He's an enthusiastic retriever and loves the water. Very diligent on his retrieves; found a number of downed roosters last year that other dogs had given up on. Trying to decide between running him in a UT next spring, or maybe trying our luck in NSTRA. Lots of speed and decent style on point might bode well for him in that venue. Seems very concerned about making the boss happy, enjoys training and has handled the limited pressure I've put on him very well. Smart dog that learns quickly and remembers his lessons pretty well. His pedigree reads like a Who's Who in the pointer world.
Hope I can hold up my end of the deal and not screw him up.....

He's a beauty. Sounds like you have a great Fall ahead of you; enjoy every minute of it.
