Opening day with 5 month old Flynn

Post by S’setter » Sun Oct 26, 2025 10:14 am

Flynn and I had a great opening day! He’s a 5 month old great grandson of Guard Rail. He pointed 2 roosters and 1 hawk! I missed the 1st rooster but redeemed myself on the 2nd one!

Good for you and the pup. It's good to see someone on here besides me is hunting. Nice photo, keep up the good work.

Nice to see a young dog getting its ears wet on game. Enjoy the time.

Thx… Flynn seems to be making the long search and a trip to Minneapolis worth it!

Good work with Flynn's training. Enjoy. :)

He’s done some amazing work so far… However just when I’m thrilled by his performance! He then proceeds to remind me that he is still a puppy! Like dragging my Beretta over/under by the sling across the rocks and thru the mud while I was crossing a fence after he went thru to an area where I didn’t have permission to hunt!!! On a good note no real damage just a muddy gun!!!
