Just for the He!! of it. Point pix from today

Post by AHGSP » Tue Mar 06, 2007 9:46 pm

Been breaking Dalin StWSF and Release and had him out today working him. He did me real proud on one really great Point. Stuck the bird 200 yds out and held 5 min.s for me to walk down the road snapping pix, then another 5 min.s while I danced around him taking pix and even went so far as to lay down on the road in front of him for a particular camera angle I wanted, stood through the flush, shot, marked the bird.... still standing and I released him to have him only turn his head to the right and tighten up some more. HMMMMM, release him again and he just got tighter yet. Looked where he was looking and there sat another bird 10 yd.s down the fence. (Mental note: Trust your dog, trust your dog!) Flush, shot, marked the bird and stood for the release. I was a proud Papa!
The "covey" find and he is the spec on the road:

Another Point with me taking pix all around him. I liked the look in his eyes:

12 volt I like that picture. The pointer look's great and the setter is obviously backing and not getting it's own snoot full. Nice picture!

So many good ones guys....had to add just one more.

The scenario is this. Zeke has gotten between the cover and a covey of Missouri bobs out on the left. We could tell from his stretched out style that they were running away from him. My son Steve is running around to the left to try and cut them off. About 2 seconds later they flush back towards cover, and Steve scratches one down. Nov.18/06

I can only hope that I am this successful with my new pup. I'll be sure to post any pics that even resemble a point as soon as I get them.
