Over the Hump

Post by NC Quailhunter » Mon Jul 02, 2007 7:13 am

I haven't been around in a while because I am currently deployed to Iraq. I am now over the hump and looking forward to etting home soon.
This independence day when you lift a glass do me a favor and say a toast for those that have fallen in the pursuit of freedom.
Things here are going alright. Making some progress and working alot.
Take care

Hey,

Just don't get careless as your tour winds down. We need you back well and in one piece. You and all of our defenders are in my prayers and it make me so proud with the job you all are doing. There are millions of people free today because of you. God Bess.

I am sorry for the sacrifice that you and your family have had to endure, but I just wanted you to say "THANK YOU", to you and all the other servicemen and women serving this country. Because of people like you we are able to live in the greatest country on Earth. Thanks.

USAF 1965 to 1973.

Sometime's I get really upset with people that thank a vet. What I would rather is that if they are not going to serve in the service, make sure you do what you can to protect our right's and way of life from our own government and those that would take it from us here. Many of them see Veteran's Day as not much more than a paid holiday, most of them are government employe's. While I was in the V.A. Hospital, we had some civilian's come thru and we appreciated it. You don't have to thank some of us, just value what some of us gave and NEVER FORGET!!!

I have two thirds of my best friend's possitions. I have his purple heart and his flag. He has a granite headstone! NEVER FORGET!

In memory of my best friend

Hey Guys
I just wanted to say Thank You for the good wishes and the prayers. They must be working. It must be the spirit of the uplands working for us.
I am currently in Falluja for those that have asked and I am hoping to make it home in time to chase the Quail of NC this year.
Again I just wanted to say thanks and let you guys know I am still around. I tend to lurk more than post right now, I will fix that when I get some time.
