Pigeons in the winter

Ok i have about two dozen pigeons in a coop this will be the fist winter i will have the birds is there anything special that i should do when it starts to get cold, i live in sothwestern pa, any help would be great. thanks

I block almost all the vents off. I basically cover most the coops with plastic.
