I hadn't visited in awhile either, since second semester started... and when I did I almost spit out my rootbeer. I was like "Where's the forum?!?!"
Then I found the link and everything was cool, but it still had scared me a little.

Time for me to chime in.
Grant, you sure do have a creative talent. I have to agree, this is turning out to be the best forum on the web.. Not only because of the courteous attitudes and non bashing of one's ideas, but the pictures in itself are enough to take your breath away.

As I posted earlier, this is a great forum in the making. My question: What is lacking, that we are not drawing in the people with the training problems? There are a lot of people with a lot of knowlede on this board who seem to stay away when a good construtive discussion is started.
A good example will be how many of the general membership will comment on this post and give ideas on how to draw the people with training problem's in to ask the training questions we are so eager to help them with?
I feel Gregory's post to simplyfing the folders and Grant doing such a great job, has made it a lot eaisier and enjoyable for all of us to get to the topics a lot quicker. So far it has helped to eliminate a lot of scrolling.
My question:
How do we get the word out there that the GunDog Forum is "The" forum to go to for training HELP?

For being in the biz for 11mo. We're not looking to shabby =) I watch the traffic to the site everyday, and we're getting a TON of hits for the sites age. About 100,000+ visits per month. If you count hits, which is cheating, its in the millions.
I've got to go cause lins. is in the car waiting for me, but I've got to mention that we've got an "Ask the Vet" section from Gayla and QC is doing monthly articles. Both will be on the front page of GDF.
Its in the works.....
I think it will be a nice feature. Got to go.

Just saw the new category structure. Very nice as well... fewer pages to load in order to keep caught up on everything, and no more "where should I put this post" moments.

Spring break is around the corner, my schedule gets less hectic, my dog finally got over his cold, and I'm getting signed up as a member of a nearby hunting preserve.
Things are lookin' good. Glad to be back!

It will be a place on the front page where folks can ask general questions about health etc. to a veterinarian....
