Want your opinion on which pup

Post by eastwash » Mon Dec 24, 2007 12:15 am

I have the choice of a llewellin male heavy on the bondhu or gordon male from springset and chaparrel lines. Will be first bird dog, will self train. Will hunt grouse, quail, pheasant in eastern washington, must be good companion animal , mellow disposition in the home and biddable. Which would you choose and why? I like them both can only have one.

Pick the one that you like the best.

Personally, the Bondhus are generally close working and have great noses - they seem to stay in touch well. They are not my cup of tea - I like the american line llewellins.

My llewellins were well suited for hunting in Washington.

Sounds like you have two good choices on your hands. I'd go with what you like the best. I think it comes down to personal preference at this point.

I'm curious do you have the pedigree of the gordon or kennel"s name?

I have a llew also to bad you can't have 2 dogs, they make a great pair.
