Buck Wild Bird Dogs - North East Kansas

http://www.buckwildbirddogs.webs.com

We are a family operated German Shorthair and Brittany Spaniel Kennel located in the heart of pheasant country. We breed for hard working dogs that not only double as a family pet but WANT to be out in the field finding those birds for you. Our dogs are very carefully selected to promote the best characteristics in the breed. All dogs are AKC certified and go through numerous health certifications before being bred.

Please feel free to check out our website and give me feed back on what you think. I am always looking to learn from others and share what I have learned along the way. Please remember that the website is still under construction. So some pages are not fully operational.

Thank You

Welcome. I checked your site and didn't find any reference to your Britts. Also just for your info, the dark red and green lettering is almost impossible to see on the black background.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Thank You,

The Brits are actually the part that is still under construction. I am in the process of gathering pictures and info and loading it on the site. And yes I argued with my husband about the dark lettering. Now with another opinion maybe I can convince him to change it.

Both of us have other jobs as well as our dogs so we are working on the website at night once work is over and chores are done.

Thank You for your input it is very much appreciated.

OK we have purchased a new Female GSP pup from Vinn's Kennels in Lincoln NE. We have started refering to her as Sexy Lexy. So her call name will most likely stay "Lexy" as it will be to hard for US to change now that we have been talking about this pup for a year as Lexy. She will come to stay with us on Nov 20th. Now we just need a registered name. Her pedigree is in the signature. She is out of Premier's Fancy Trail Blazer x Vinn's Dixieland Delight and goes back to Fancy White Trash, Double K's Mistress, Rawhide's Clown, Dixieland's Luke and Dixieland's Rusty.

Any Suggestions??

Hello,
nice easy to read site.Good looking dogs, too.
You mention on your home page that your dogs are vet checked and certified but I don't see any health clearances posted for any dogs.

Hey there Danielle!

Nice way to get started. Welcome to the Forum. I happened to notice that "Abby" is distantly related to most of my dogs. FC/AFC Ramblin Willie is a 1/2 brother to my DC Mokan Wild Mtn I'm Justa Gigolo (Dutch), both are sons of FC Mo Kan Playby, one of the foundation studs behind my breeding program. :D

My Kiki and Beans are Dutch daughters. GDF member, MTO4 Life's "Gunner" is a Dutch son. This is a line of BIRD Dogs to be sure.
Welcome to the board once again!

Abby is an exceptional Brittany. One of the best we have had. She really is a go getter. And wants to please you. Works hard in the field and keeps up with our male GSP Jake (Dixieland's Buck Wild) with ease. They are best buds in the field working together to find everything out there. She also has one of the biggest hearts that I have seen in one of our dogs. She adopts all of the cats as her own and curls up with them. They all sleep together on the front porch. Our GSPs do not do this nor does our lab.

We really would not trade her for the world and can't wait for her litter next spring. Should be an excellent litter even if they are just half as good as their mother. We are still looking for the right stud.

Thank you for looking at our site and for the comments and info. We really appreciate it.

You have A very nice site and some excellent looking dogs. A very nice kennel set up as well.

Our pup is really showing some great potential. She is retrieving, pointing, not afraid of anything, very curious and a go getter. At 7wks when we brought her home I was amazed at how well she behaved and how easy she was to house train (she was not kept in the kennel owner's house before). She took to all the basic commands very quickly and is just a very impressive pup. All the other dogs love her and she gets along with them great.

Now it's the hard task of picking out a AKC name to suit her. Everything else just seems to come natural to her.

Thanks again for looking at our site and you comments. They are greatly appreciated.
