Texas Dog Hunters Association is a non-profit organization created to help protect the right to pursue all game in the State of Texas with dogs. We're looking to diversify our membership and have more representation for the upland and waterfowl hunter. As of now, we are comprised mostly of hog dog owners, working cow dogs, and bloodtrailers. We do have a few bird dog owners but we would like to see more so we can have a better understanding of the concerns you all may have regarding the safeguarding of your sport. We put on a "Hunt for the Hungry" event every year which brings in hogs from all over the state of Texas. Last year alone hunters brought in over 28,000lbs of pork that was donated to Hunter's Harvest, who distributed that meat to childrens homes, homeless shelters, and battered womens shelters throughout the state. We are also very involved with the Trail Blazers program that lets us showcase our dogs and sport to the BoyScouts and GirlScouts throughout the state of Texas. We also host Wounded Warrior events as well. December 12th we hosted 20 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans for a deer hunt outside of Weimar, TX. If you enjoy your sport and would like to do more to preserve your rights come check us out.

We'd love to see more involvement from the Gun Dog owner's.

Thanks for your time
