Congrats!!!! :Great looking dog.

I had the pleasure to meet Janet 7 yrs ago when I lived in WI. I stopped by one day unannounced as I was "working"-took a shortcut and came across her place. Janet welcomed me in and treated me like royalty even though I told her I had no intention of buying at that time. I was able to see her dogs and an outstanding 8 wk old pup that was birdy as all heck. She even invited me into her home and we talked dogs for a couple hours, while I scratched the head of one of her retirees.

Let me just say that experience sticks with me and I am forever grateful!

Thank you, Janet!

Congradulations!! Did you also take the photo? Very nice also.

You understand the next step, right? You go out and buy up every copy you can find then order ten more so you can give them to your friends! I got my first photo published in Shutterbug magazine several years ago, 2002 I think it was. Bought every copy in Bend, Ore. Then on my way to my son's on the Ore coast I gave them all away the friends and family. Got to Newport and bought every copy in the fred Meyers there. The check out clerk was shocked! :D Over the years I think I've bought about 50 copies of that magazine, still have two!

Congradulations again, I know what that feels like!

How cool is THAT! Wow...that is really neat. Almost as neat as the time I walked into a calender store just after Christmas to see that MY dog was a featured dog in the calender! You could have bowled me over with a feather when I made that discovery. Of course I bought one on the spot. The photgrapher who had taken the picture later sent me a new wrapped calender for Christmas...she had wanted to surprise me and it worked, in more ways then one.

I sent them a great photo few yrs back and they really wanted to use it for the cover, but it had too much green in the grasses. I know they look at such things for it being a hunting shot.

Gun Dog magazine is mostly geared for the hunting dog and hunter. Most of their articles are about hunting and hunting dogs.
