Although I am waiting for AKC to say so my dog, MNL Rimrocks Desert Sands "Mac", Has finished his Open Field Championship. He managed to win the Open Gun Dog at the GSPC of Reno walking field trial Last weekend. This took 2 seasons to accomplish.
Macs biggest hindrance is his handler. I am so thankful that I had the privilege to start out with such a talented dog. Mac being more bird dog than I knew what to do with allowed him to forgive my inability as a trainer. He has taught me patience, to be observant, to be determined, and to enjoy all that a bird dog is through good and bad times. He is a loyal friend and will always be #1 in my book.
I'd like to give a big thank you to all those that helped me along the way, and to my mentors Terry Zygalinski and Lou Tonelli. Without there guidance I think I would still be frustrated for not winning. Between Mac, Terry, and Lou the three of them have taught me to be a better handler and a better all around person.
Here are some pics of Mac

A nice limb find after hunting hard for 3 1/2 hours. This was his 6th find with 12 shots fired and only one bird to show for it

I had the pleasure of doing some work for a lady that is quite the photographer. She wanted to snap some pics of Mac while he was on the job one day. She even wants to get together and do a real photo shoot with him. She likes the action shots.
