We had the good fortune and pleasure of excellent bracemates and Handlers all weekend, which made for highly enjoyable braces with great teamwork between us handlers, sportsmanship, conversation, quality of handling and the quality of the dogs work.
I should add that Gunner finished up in Grand style with a 60-70 yard retrieve on a very lightly "nicked" bird and proceeded to Honor his bracemate on point(she was released from her Honor while he was making the long retrieve and made a find within 10 yards), while in the middle of his retrieve and while still holding the very much alive bird. He completed the retrieve to hand and then went on to give another Honor of her from 50 yards when they were unable to shoot her 1st bird for her. He had 5 finds during his brace on the back course and in the birdfield.
Yes Steve, this was a GOOD weekend!

Not too bad for a couple of weekends of ahemmm, "work"
