Maggie May had her 1st litter of pups this year and did a bang up job with them. 6 boys and 3 girls, all perfect in every way (did you think that I would say that they weren't?
). I waited to bred her to "the right" male and kept putting it off till this year when I stepped back and right in front of me was my own male, Tucker. I guess I never really thought about him till I was filling out the AKC dog kennel form and looked at his pedigree again.
Tucker was raised by Bob Merkel and is Wrenegade's Gabriel litter-mate. All this time I was looking for a tight bred Dixieland Luke bred dog and he was under my feet. Maggie May is by FC/AFC HMK's Dandi Runaway Rusty. So, I wanted to tie up as much of the charterists as I could of that bloodline that I love so much. In this breeding, I think that I have.
The pups that I have kept are birdy as heck and are always dragging something around. They are big bodied pups with lots of white and liver patches and liver heads. I have high hopes for these babies. I kept 2 boys and 1 girl. I'll keep Ya"ll posted on my Pups.
