5 mo old setter found his first wild covey of quail yesterday. They were moving and a little scattered feeding but he did point and stayed for several seconds. I didnt whoa him as we arnt completely finished with that part of our training yet. I had seen a cpl of doves and some grass birds in the immediate area and wasnt sure what he was trying to point till the first one got up. As he turned to see what was going on the others got up around him and he was in love. Gave just a little chase but stopped pretty quick and started popping his tail and looking for more. Very proud moment for us and wife was with us and got to see what the excited is all about.Image
