Just a wee brag
Tejas Magnum's Tequila Sunrise (Sunny) had her first broke dog placement (fourth in the Open Gun Dog) at the Gulf Coast GSP club trial in Freer, TX. this past weekend. This was Sunny's fourth time to run as a broke dog. She is handled by Dennis Brath and was bred by Nancy and Randy Coffelt. She was sired by Magnum in one of his last litters.

Congrats, for sure. Did Joker get the 3rd in that stake? Who were the other placements, if you know.

Yes John that was the derby dog you watched last spring.
Joker placed third, James Messer's dog Wendy (sp?) placed first and I don't recall the second place finisher. It was mid 80's by midmorning and a lot of nice dogs were either ripping birds or going birdless. Dennis also ran Alesha, A.J., Bandit, Natasha, Staci, Deja and three more I can't recall the names of.
No points toward a FC for fourth, but hey you have to start somewhere.
I think Dennis will be at the Region 5, I know he is heading back north to pass by Boonville and then going on to Illinois (I think he said).
