First Point!!!

Took my 4 month old GSP out today for her introduction to birds...Planted 3 chuckar...She pointed all three and I flushed...The second bird flew a aways, probably 200 yards, down the area I was working her on. After we found the last bird I thought I should give her a shot at finding the one that took off down that way....Get down aways and she starts putting her nose to the ground...few seconds later shes locked up. She stayed on point for a good few minutes before she started to creep. I searched everywhere in the brush trying to find the bird...Nothing...Then I looked about ten yards from her and sure enough tucked down between two trees the bird was sitting. Couldn't have been more proud of her. This is my first go round at training a dog so it should is exciting. Sorry for the picture quality. Isn't the great and doesn't show the whole scene. I took it with my cell phone! Thanks guys!

I love that. The first time a pup locks up and makes you proud. That is awesome. Congratulations!!!!
