Region 4

Post by Hotpepper » Fri May 09, 2008 8:02 am

The derby classic was finished yesterday and the winner was Hoosier's Ramblin Pete, he is another LB youngster and has allage placements at 16 months old. He is 22 months old and his dam GK's Ramblin Kassie,

The runner up was Jill who won a 5 point major at eastern Iowa in the OGD, got 3rd in the NGSPA futurity.

Both dogs were handled by Rich Barber.

It looks like 6 braces of Amateur and then done.

J R is gonna be a real nice dog and we are jsut gonna come along with hi as Rich thinks, I thought we were gonna do that but we didn't so????????????????????????????????

You are correct about the young Chloe dog, she will be a good one. Chloe has produced a lot of very nice ones, this is just one of them and might be one of the youngest.

Congrats Mr. Jim

What is the little girls name, we may need to remember it, winning an NGSPA hour deal is a very big deal.

The dog in the OSG was handled by Dave and its name was "Doc", Runnerup was Pete owned by Linn Hadlock and handled by Barber. The AJ dog is out of my Pepper dog and is owned by Sharon Harris and handled by Dennis. She is a goer. and a young one at 30 months

Harvey, I know Gene gave you my message but a big CONGRATULATIONS!!! She's a nice dog, I liked her when I BARELY beat her with my old derby when she was barely 6 months. Sounds like she's really come on in the last few months. Man, Dixie and Breeze, now, there's two NICE dogs!!

Hey Harvey - We had a good spring trial season. All the dogs managed to find their ways to the winner's circle a time or two. I managed to not get killed or mamed so a success from my standpoint!

Birds looked good this spring - we'll have to wait and see how the broods do later this summer. We'll start training here probably mid-late July when we start seeing broods out moving around. I'm heading to MT mid August thru 1st week or two of Sept. Should be able to catch the Sharptail Ch. again unless they significantly change the dates. Doubt my schedule will let me get to the Chicken.

Wish you were gonna make it to the Sharptail - we could have a little Dixie & Bugsy AA excitement out there!! Bugsy pointing a trio of sharpies training a few weeks ago:
