New American Field Champion

Post by Rusti's Mom » Fri May 13, 2005 6:46 am

Our Staci, 22 months old is a new American Field, All Age Champion as of Tuesday. We are all very excited.

Super Thank You goes to our handler and trainer, Dennis Brath of Caden's Kennels for all of his hard work with "that Staci dog".

Now that we are retired, we will be able to go watch her in the fall.

I will post a pic just as soon as I get one. There is a picture of her with some of her 2nd place puppy ribbons in the album, but I am waiting for Dennis to have some made with him and her tophy. He said it was a very nice placque and he has to get some made for the article in American Field.

I can't wait to see her.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Yes, she is still with Dennis. I asked him if she could come home for the summer. NO way. She will get to rest for a week or so, then it is back in training for the Fall Trials. We are going to be busy this summer getting settled out at the Ranch, but we want to come up in the fall or winter.

I love WI. in the winter. will let you know.

Fantastic for you Pat! Congrats on your retiremnt as well!

I'm a bit confused as to why you love being up here in the winter though? You should be up here now...80s one day and 40s the next! Gotta love the great north! :D

thanks. The last two years we have been up in December and I love the cold weather. However, having lived in upstate N.Y., I don't think I could take it for very long. Great for visiting. Texas "winter" is really awful.

Congrats as well!

Question: Where can one find information on American Field? I take it that it's a periodical and another hunting contest of sorts (like AKC hunt tests, AKC field trials, NSTRA, etc.)?

www.americanfield.com

Yes, it is another Field Trial venue/registration/magazine. I am not very familiar with it at all, but my Trainer/Handler had me register both of the girls in their Stud Dog Book so that they could run in the trials and I am glad they did. All information is there on that website.

Thanks! I'll have to check out that site tomorrow.

Man, I thought school was time-consuming.... now the summer clerkship is relentless. At least it's a lot more fun.

It looks like it will still be quite some time before Staci gets her write up in American Field. I just got the Congratulations letter and the DNA Test kit on Friday. I have no idea how long that will take.

I promise as soon as I get a picture I will post it as I finally learned how to do that.

Ward,
Congrats on your wins also. I know how you feel, Staci was the first pup out of Rusti's first litter and the first pup I have ever birthed.
