bmt brag

Post by larue » Tue Nov 25, 2008 4:55 pm

I am bragging for my son,he just graduated from basic military training for the us air force this last weekend.
I was able to fly down and watch his graduation,it was good seeing him again, and to see the growth in him.
I really did enjoy the base, and I watched a 22 place jones dog trailer go by me,they train security forces in lackland and the dogs where part of the canine security training.
It is amazing the changes that they can do in 6 weeks, and I am very proud of him for accomplishing a dream he has had for along time.
The airmans coin was the best part to watch for myself, along with meeting his fellow airmen in his flight.

Dennis

Congrats on you boy's graduation and his base assignment. I remember meeting him a couple years ago at the walking trial you had at your place, seemed like a good kid then, figured he'd do his parents proud. Thank him for me for his service to our country next time you see him.

BMT is a big accomplishment, so is tech school graduation. I know because I came into the Air Force almost 6 YEars ago, and am still in. I am stationed at F.E.WARREN AFB Cheyenne, Wyoming. I love it here, not so much the wind though. Anyways Grand Forks is a nice place. And Congrats on his accomplishments.

Dennis,
congrats on your son's great accomplishment! My dad served 14 years in the Air Force. The Air Force is a great place, and ND is favorite of mine. We were stationed in Minot, ND. Good luck to him! What a great honor he has been given! He really looks grown up too from the last time I'd seen him. Wow!!

AGE = Aerospace Ground Equipment - CAA = Career Airman Advisor?

WA Chukar Hunter is close..got the first one and most of the second correct.

Aerospace Ground Equipment = a mechanic on nearly all the ground support equipment needed to maintain the USAF's fleet of aircraft. This ranges from non-powered stands used to reach what needs to be fixed to the generators, gas turbines, air conditioners to actually make the fixes.

CAA = Career Assistance Advisor + now has taken on the role of all enlisted professional development along with providing counseling to enlisted members at key points in their current enlistment to make sure they are making an informed decision on whether to reenlist or separate.

Does that mean a new duty station? I hope not I sure do depend on you and the other board members.
