Teka update
Since grant didn't even realize I had a Vizsla.... I guess I have to brag about her more often.
Teka showed in 6-9 month class and won winners bitch beating 6 dogs earning her 2 points in Prescott Kennel Club show on Saturday in Chino Valley, AZ. For the video, click here

Congrats! Did she win this with the tooth issue shown in the health section?

Just got back from nationals which was in California this year for Vizsla's. Up against 11 bitches 6-9 months Teka placed 4th she is 8 months now and we are proud to get a ribbon of any kind in nationals.
I am still learning a lot too this was a great chance for me to get the experience only an 8 hr drive for us.

At 9 months I decided to skip JH and entered Teka in SH and she got 3 out of 4 qualifying scores. Just two more legs and we'll have ourself another SH.
I wasn't sure how she would do since they were using Chukar and I never worked her on Chukar before. The hardest thing for her was the retrieves with those big fat birds. She dropped them a couple of times, but her last brace she scored high with all 9's. The best part of her test was when she went on point in the back course. I flushed the bird and shot off my blank pistol then she slowly crained her head to the left. I didn't even realize there was a second bird running to our left. I flushed it and shot the blank pistol again. She held her point the whole time with style (paw up). It was a beautiful sight and nothing made me more proud.

LOL I don't think so, but hopefully by this time next year we can. I haven't force fetched her and I will try to avoid it just like I did with Cassi. I am a believer in avoiding force fetch training when you can, especially at her age. Right now that is her biggest weakness (her retrieves) She tends to spit the bird out at my feet and then smiles at me with a mouth full of feathers.Casper wrote:Nice job man! MH before 1 yr.?

I finally got to go to another hunt test and was able to finish my little Teka. She is now a Senior Hunter at one year old. She also won Best Puppy in sweepstakes out of 12 puppies in a Vizsla specialty which was fun to get.
