Our male Captain was entered in 4 shows this past weekend and took the male points in 3 of the 4, taking winners dog 3 days and Best of Opposite one day. We have him with a professional handler, who is doing an excellant job with him. He now has all of his juvenile points on the open and amateur field side and is now pointed in the show ring. He is on his way! We couldn't be happier with his performance up to this point. This dog is hunted on wild birds, field trialed, hunt tested and showed. He is also a bigtime momma's boy who loves to cuddle on the couch.

I was on for a while and then while we got our property and worked it and moved into our house I was very BUSY. Now I have a few minutes. I'll be down at Jims later this summer and fall (If they are OK with it). I have some backing to do and a dog that needs conditioning.

Congrats Justin & Captain! Great way to get the summer started! Helen is a class act. She's shown dogs for me- finished Jet actually, given both hubby and I handling tips, etc. I totally trust her with my dogs which is the most important thing for me.

We are extremely pleased with her. Couldn't be happier. Gonna watch her and the turkey this weekend in Ashtabula, then take him for a swim in the big pond and go home.

If you get the chance- get a picture of him done there! Nothing prettier as a backdrop than Lake Erie on a nice day! Good Luck! Kristi

I wasn't there for the big win. Probably a good thing, cause I would have been nervous as heck.

Actually, I am a show dumbie - cause he won Best of Winners for 3pts. I get so darned confused. He was close to winning Winners Dog on Sat and Sun as well, but no bananas this time.

Art - this dog will NEVER forget what he is bred for. He is pretty aloof around the shows. When we starts yelling like he does at the break-away to be cut loose - I'll worry

kiki won't know what to say to Cap next time they are braced together She hasn 't ever gotten to run with the royal beauty crowd before, you know :roll: She won't ever be a DC herself. Captain has one major win, which was his Best of Winners on Friday, and 3 single points from some smaller shows where he won Winners Dog and one Best of Opposite. He almost won another major this past weekend. Not to be. Total of 6 points. He is showing REALLY well, even if for a field dog.

His next beauty contest is the weekend of the 25th (Marion, OH?) then Canfield. He'll be entered all days.

You tell Kiki she'll do just fine in her lifetime! Even if she can't go to a beauty contest!

What did you guys pick up this last weekend? I think you went winners dog atleast 2 of the 4 days....atleast thats what Ruth seems to recall.
