My English setter, Ethan, earned 3/3 qualifying scores this past weekend to earn his AKC companion dog title. This puts him in the elite company of a few English setters which have earned their show championship, Junior hunter and companion dog titles. All this in one year, whew!

Great accomplishment. Where are you going from here? More tests or just some hunting?

I think a few months off, with a lot of hunting and fun (after a BIG haircut)! Maybe determine if he's got what it takes to advance with Senior or Master hunt tests.

Congrats, I remember meeting you and that pretty dog at the Hunt Test in Idaho last spring. I remember thinking, just another show dog, but he did really well that weekend. Looks like all your hard work has payed off. Get that dog a hair cut and get him on tons of birds, I think he tons of promise then just another dog with titles, look forward to hear about his progress.

Big Congrats!!! Always great to see a hairy setter do well in multiple venues! Ditto on the hair-cut! Hubby scalped our oldest Irish this weekend in anticipation of fall season! Kristi
