3 down, 1 to go for Gundog pups JH title !!

Post by GrayDawg » Sun Nov 29, 2009 3:45 pm

We just returned from CT for the second time in two days- Katy was up to the task again, qualifying for her third leg (of a required 4) of her AKC Junior Hunter title. She lit up the course this morning with a fantastic cast halfway through the brace that took her into the birdfield. She pointed her birds hard today & handled kindly. Katy turned 7 months old today and dogs aren't allowed to test until they are 6 months old- so she earned 3 legs in one month of testing. Now we have to wait until the spring to finish her, as this was the last test of the season here in the northeast. Here's a picture of my boys with Katy & her 3 Qualifying Rozettes.

Rob,

Congrats on Katy's 3 legs of Juniors.
Look to see you early tomorrow at CVVC. Natasha is 2nd brace of Open Gun Dog and I think Katy is 3rd brace Am. Puppy.

John,
You're correct on our dog's braces in each Stake. Too bad, as I would have loved to see Natasha "burn up" the course
at Flaherty! Looks like we'll both be in the field at relatively the same time.

See you tomorrow,

Rob

Briarpatch,
It appears as though Katy is related to at least one of your dogs (Sage).

Katy's Great Granddam on her bottom side is Indian Brook's Emmy
and her Grandsire on her top side is Jaegerhof's Henry Higgins.

She has been a peach to train thus far- very eager to please and a boatload of desire
with a great little nose....... so no complaints for my part!
