1st Brag for us!

Went down to the Vidalia Pointer Club AF trial in south GA this past weekend and got a second place finish! I was proud of Zip especially since it was her and I's first AF trial and second trial period. We saw some really nice dogs in that open stake as well it was fun to watch. The folks down there are top notch and put on a good trial cant wait to go back! I had to chuckle though the judge asked me what kind of dog that was, and said he had never seen a German wirehair before, made it extra nice! :mrgreen:
Has nothing to do with luck just boot leather and a fine GWP...

Job well done and in wooly fashion amongst the long tails too!!!

Thanks Brenda, from what I hear the breeding was a success, everyone is extremely happy with the pups! :mrgreen:

Yah, yah, you ran in a circle on bobs - go try and shoot a limit of prairie birds over that dog without getting her stumbled over by a horse and then I'll be impressed... 8) :lol:

HAHAHA Doug you crack me up you have seen her, and you know I am just a dumb bird hunter and not a field trialer like yourself, I could only hope she can hold her own on her home prairies pointing those dumb ol' sharptails! I kind of like her though and apparently so did some judges! :mrgreen:

btw. nice pic of my scout, he did a good job with her last summer on the MT prairie!

:lol: :lol: I've got news for ya', I'm a lot worse trialer than I am a hunter...and you've seen my skills as a hunter putting food on the table - thank goodness for grocery stores and restaurants!! :lol: :lol:

Seriously man, congrats!! It's fortunate that the first day you went out and did the horseback thing with a couple nutty GSP's it didn't turn into the ridiculous thrash you might have been expecting!! Glad you're finding some fun and success in a new venue with your dogs and hopefully seeing some sort of correllation with what you find most important to us - hunting!! :wink: :mrgreen:
