My dog Briar has earned 2009 GSPCA Dog Of The Year status as one of the GSPCA top producers! Thanks for indulging me this chance to shamelessly brag on my little dog.

Congrats on that Caleb! Great accomplishment! You coming down to Fl for Awards? I know Rick is going, I will try but will have some pups here...Lara will take Fritz in Dual class...We need you there to hold up the Dual end also!!!

Thanks Brenda, I was really pleased to see her get this unexpected recognition. Especially sweet for me since Briar is out of my late old birddog Babe, I got into the game after her prime or she would have been one people would have loved to watch, but hated to compete against. Of course I have to give credit to Sam as well - quite a dog, that one.

This year I have two puppies to take wild bird hunting and maybe run a little puppy/derby with, so I'm gonna save vacay time for that. Wish I could come to FL, maybe we'll make an appearance next year. Ya'll will have to hold up the DC banner 'til then. Thanks again!

Thanks Art and Rick, I've been really blessed to have these dogs take me along for the ride. Babe was a one of a kind, warrior heart right up to the end. I marked her on the GPS on her last hunt in TX consistently between 450-550 yards, running hard and searching for birds. She was such a special dog, I harvested 7 different species of wild game over her and she was my best friend.
