Small Chloe Brag

Post by mcclinj » Tue Oct 04, 2011 12:56 pm

This past weekend Chloe completed her first 3 legs of her JH title at the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club / German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Ohio's dual fall hunt Test in Harrisville, Pennsylvania. Despite low 40 degree weather and a constant pouring rain, Chloe performed well in 3/4 of her braces. She received qualifying scores of 9-9-9-9 /9-9-8-8/7-7-7-7.

Unfortunately, she seemed to have lost her mind on the second run on Saturday. She decided since the birds weren't going to go anywhere there was no need to bother pointing them  She did score a 10 in bird finding as she delivered to hand 5 quail.

When I got Chloe last winter I thought I just wanted a hunting dog and wasn't too interested in testing / trials and the other "games". I'm definitely hooked after this weekend and look forward to testing / competing again soon. We are planning a trip to Ohio in November to the Miami Vizsla Club to try and finish up JH. Sorry for the pic size If anybody is willing to resize this picture a little bit I say go for it.
