NEW AFC!!

Post by ultracarry » Sun Jan 22, 2012 7:14 pm

KIMBER ran in a 25 entry amature gun dog (ret) this Saturday and placed second. Finishing her AFC. I handled her and had some fun.

I ran KIMBER Ran again today in open gun dog ret. (no limited or all age stakes at the trial) with 22 entries she placed 1st!!

Had a good time in some really bad weather on Saturday and brad had a good time with Lucy in Derby (congrats again).

Pic to follow!

Big Congrats! Getting it done that young; What's next, going to run Hour stuff now? DC? Both? Sounds like she's got "the stuff" for sure!

Thanks Bruce and Ruff.

Bruce unless someone wants a pup in the future and wants to spend the money to put a DC on her I think she will never step foot in a show ring (just couldn't see myself in a skirt). I have been told she has good conformation.

For now she is going to trial out here in AKC stakes and will prob be heading to the Midwest in the fall and back to KS in November.

Congrats, she is on a roll! Wish I could of seen her run the second day. I think they will probably have to re think the courses and extend them a bit for her and Lucy next time. I don't think to many ran out of course with five minutes left and plenty of finds. Enjoy it while you can, you will probably spend a life time and small fortune trying to find another Kimber.

Waylon is not too far behind.... You will spend more money on that dog than you ever thought. And brad is already hooked. Too bad you didn't enter him in puppy.

17 is the closest to me i can get there in 45 minutes from my house,i know the area well. Its not the highest demand. But there will be quail with the moisture we are getting now. Came across two nice bulls fighting during our youth deer hunt last month. Oryx is tough off range. But its a whole month long and should also be plenty of quail in the same area.
