Pups 1st Trial

Post by cmc274 » Tue Jan 24, 2012 6:20 pm

I wanted to post a small brag on my young shorthair (7.5 months). My wife handled her to 1st in AWP (5 starters) and I handled her to 3rd in Open Walking Derby (14 Starters) at the SPBC Walking Trial this past weekend. I havent done as much as I would like with her, but good genetics and a small dose of wild quail and woodcock hunting has her doing well. Congrats to AHGSP who handled Jake to 1st and MillerClemsonHD with Lady to 2nd in Derby.

What you're not going to brag on Tux?

Thanks everyone. It was very fun and I was very surprised by the derby placement.

Good point Andy. Tux did well too finishing 2nd in OGD. Two very nice pieces of bird work, smoked most of the course, but both he and i ran out of gas on the last hill. We were picked in AGD when he blinked a back after the pointing dog self-relocated (he backed the initial point). He was very confused when I heeled him off his next find. Lots to work on, looking forward to more daylight.
