FC Red Oak's Dez SH

Post by ACooper » Sun Feb 05, 2012 12:05 pm

Dez had a good weekend at the Gateway GSP club walking field trial, he finished second in OLGD and won won a 3 pt retrieving major in OGD to finish his field championship a few months shy of his third birthday. Thanks to Brenda Roe for handling him to his FC! Thanks to Tom Wynn for scouting him.

Coop, really happy for you. Dez appears to be one of the dogs that can do most anything you have time to teach. I would put him in a few shows to see what he can do there. Looking at the pics I think he has the DC written all over him.

Congrats

Congrats Andy!! I watched him go in the limited. On his first find, his bracemate failed to back, and ran a couple of circles around Dez and finally kinda pointed. About that time the bird flushed, all this time with the other handler hollering here, here, here!! Your boy stood the whole thing!! 8)

Thanks everyone. What's next? ..... Next fall wild birds! but he isnt done running trials by any means I plan to pursue AFC and of course Navhda, He had a pretty decent duck search when he was a young dog so with a little work I think we will try for UT. Never know we might throw him in the pretty dogs and see how it goes.

Thanks again for all the nice words.
