Little brag from a newb

Post by Knightfarms » Sun Feb 19, 2012 7:06 pm

We packed up the dogs and drove 10 hours to TN this weekend to play dogs at the Percy Priest wildlife grounds; they are gorgeous! Cooper had a great open puppy run and handled beautifully. We won that class to max out his open puppy points. Our debut run in Derby was a big flop because he took off and I didn't see him for 15 minutes, pulled the tracker at the judges request (the other dog was a run away too and it was close to dusk), and of course he was 100 yards in front of me in the same corner where he found a covey of birds that morning. Doh!
Saturday afternoon we had a good amateur puppy run where he stayed ahead and handled well. We took second in that one.

Great people, beautiful grounds, and I'm very happy with 2 out of 3 of the runs :)

Two good runs and a lesson learned. It's hard to beat that ... Congrats

Congrats. Lessons build up pretty quick. I learned a good 4 on Saturday running mine. Most importantly I learned something that she will benifit from for a long time.. priceless!

Keep on going and limit the Derby stuff as much as you can.

AWESOME Cheryl! Sounds like you had fun AND learned a lesson or two! Doesn't get much better than that with pups!
