Billy,
I am pretty familiar with many title "suffixes", but I admit, not..."RDX, RD or NRD Qualifiers." Could you expand on that for me (us)? Or refer me to a url that describes them? Thanks. Any picts?

These are Titles offered by The German Shorthair Club of America. Here is the site: http://www.gspca.org

RDX - Retriever Dog Excellence
RD - Retriever Dog
NRD - Novice Retriever Dog

Quick Reference:
RDX - Dog is required to remain stationary & under control for a triple mark using Ducks or Pigeons at specified yards in a body of water with 8 decoys. Dog is required to retrieve to hand into a 12' circle. Handler is not allowed to touch the dog. Blind retrieve is required thru the decoys at 50- 60 yds.

RD - Dog is required to remain stationary, controlled break allowed as long as dog is within circle. Double marks are thrown using Ducks or Pigeons. Dog is required to deliver close to hand into 12' circle.

NRD - Dog is under control on lead or by collar to retrieve a single mark. Dog is required to bring bird into 12' circle. No decoys are present.

Please see http://www.gspca.org for test rules.

No pictures at this time since I am on dial-up! Regrets

Congrats to all the qualifiers, especially the dogs earning RDX. That's one tough test.

Yes, I am training with Bob Kramer & his dog Rebel each month at the MidSouth NAVHDA Chapter. I plan on attending a NAVHDA Handlers Clinic this summer. We hope to test this December. I really would like to be invited to the Invitational as everyone else who takes the UT Test.

Katie and I can be found this Fall in Georgia running Hunt Test.

Brenda, Rebel & Bob did great qualifying for both RDX, RD. I had several people compliment Rebel an stated the dog handles like he's had a great deal of wild bird experience. His Fetching & Returning to Hand was excellent.

Billy, if you and Bob ever want to meet here to train just let us know. Rick is getting Fritz ready for Master so he would be happy to train with you guys. For now you would have to bring your own birds until our guys get some going. Our last couple of loads a client brought from Fl.
