Recap on Moxy's first year trialing.

Post by Stoneface » Mon May 14, 2012 11:56 pm

Moxy ran in seven stakes in her first year, from nine months to 15 months, and did well. She won four stakes and didn't even place in the other three. Gonna work with her this summer and come September going to start trying for an FC and MH. Cinna will come into the fall season as a Puppy/Derby. I wish I could take credit for training Moxy, but all I did was turn her loose and follow her around. Real proud of this little dog.

Congrats on the placements.... Wouldn't it suck if the AKC found out you are accepting money to train dogs and you ran in an amateur event?

Thanks for the congrats, Ultra. It would suck if that was the case. I just started advertising in April and haven't had a client yet. Even called AKC and spoke with a performance events rep and talked it over with the folks putting on the trial.

I am thinking of getting into hunt test and trials with my new GSP pup in the future. She will be here next week! It appears I have a lot to learn about the rules! The last trials I ever ran and placed in was NASTRA about 8 years ago. I have been strictly an upland guide in Oregon ever since. Do you guys have any recomendations as to what to start in? I would love to start her as a puppy as she develops. I have recently joined all of them because i don't know what diretion to head yet. This maybe a post for General....

Respectfully,

Jesse
