Please welcome Lewie

Post by wingshootin » Mon May 21, 2012 4:35 pm

Well I had a great delivery this past Saturday. Got a new pup. His name is Lewie and we are excited to have him as a part of the family. Puppy breath sure has taken the edge off of loosing out beloved Golden, Charlie, last week.

A little background info oh his pedigree. I cant wait to get him going. This should be fun!!

Sire:

(FC AFC Haweye’s Candlewood Shadow x CFC Bluenorth’s Nubile Tessie)

Davey’s pedigree has too many Field Champions, Amateur Field Champions and Canadian Field Champions in pedigree to list everyone. Just naming a few, beginning with his sire, FC AFC Haweye’s Candlewood Shadow, had 212 All age points, qualified for 10 Nationals, and was a Finalist 4 times. His Dam, CFC Bluenorth’s Nubile Tessie was a 3 time Canadian National Finalist. His pedigree includes 3X NFC-AFC Candlewoods Tanks a Lot - a member of the Retriever Hall of Fame as well as 2X NAFC - 2X CNAFC FC Ebonstar Lean Mac. He sure is a cute little bugger, isn't he? I bet he grows up to be a big ol' bull Lab.

That first pic should be enough to scare you. Look at those eyes and the tongue sticking out tell you exactly what his plans are. Sorry for you all but Lewie is going to rule.'

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Lewie is doing great. He has the attention span of a gnat but what can you expect at 9 weeks old? He is finally starting to understand that his crate is his safe house but he still wines and cries a few times during the night but he is slowly getting there. Cant wait for his 13th week when I can get him down to the pond. There are 2 pups in my neighborhood with parvo so we are keeping him away from other dogs until he hits 12-13 wks. My older dog, Gypsy, will be glad when he doesnt have to spend all his time with her. :)

Nice dog, the candlewoods and honcho are the ones i have experience with. Good stuff there.
The parvo, i reccomend keeping him inside until all three immunizations are done. Also Neopar is much better stuff than the 5 and 7 way pup shots. If i had to give just one shot it would be neopar or a parvo olny shot. Much of that is due to the high parvo area i am also in.

Tons of people are getting new puppies. Grats to you for getting a new one, and sorry again for the loss of your old one. Enjoy the puppy breathe as long as it lasts!
