Simply Awesome Brenda! A 5 pointer says one heck of a lot for the competition to Fritz and Lara! That was at least 15 B!tches in the ring for the cross over.... How many Dogs?

I think there was 7 males. Finally found a judge that does not mind using one with white. Pariettis just fininshed their Creed`s Dual who is white, they say it has really been tough. A HUGE CONGRATS to them on that. They have been very encouraging to Rick on hanging in there. It is very hard finding anyone these days pursueing Dual in GSP`s seems like.

Hi Ted, my bad. Here is the phrase from the AKC site:
The American Kennel Club requires a dog to obtain a total of 15 points with two major wins (a major win is worth three points or higher) to become a champion. The majors must be won under different judges and at least one other judge must award some of the remaining points - so you need to win under at least three different judges.
I guess I was crossing the point requirements for the FC over to the CH title.

The rest of the page is good reading: http://www.akc.org/events/conformation/ ... points.cfm .

You just have to tell Rick, "You gotta play to win!" You certainly have the dogs to do it. I would like to see more folks going after the Dual, but it really does take a lot of work, money, effort and patience! To me though, the reward would be priceless!

What Judges have put Fritz up? Gotta make notes!! 8)

Does Rick get Fritz back to run in the Endurance? Or is he not running? What dogs are you running? Best of luck!

Hello Everybody! This is Fritz's proud handler!!:) There were 11 dogs and 17 bitches!!

Yes, we know some judges to take him to, some we will just have to try and then there is the different competition in the ring each time and the 'ultimate' thing is how Fritz performs that day:) He IS a happy happy boy but is showing good on a more consistent basis:)

Dog shows, are always a gamble!

Yes, we still need one more major......but a 5 pointer is HUGE!!!! We need a 3pt major (minimum) and 4 single points. Doesn't sound SO far when you put it that way!!;)

Hi Lara........What a GREAT Pun in the above quote.
("Gamble's Odyssey Fritz")

Congratulations in a HUGE way on the way things are progressing for Fritz.......Very nice work!

"Sam" is looking down on all of this and I know he (and Chuck and Judy) are very proud of his sons and daughters.................and of the care, concern and success you have given and brought to them. "Heidi" is packing her bags and making threats about walking to Georgia, if I don't start driving pretty quickly.

Wow, thats more dogs than I thought! Lara has transformed Fritz totally into what he is. When she got him he knew NOTHING! He was spinning in the air on a lead, always thinking FT! "Show dog" was the last thing from Rick and Fritz`s mind! So, we have a huge THANKS for what Lara has done here! It has really been fun!

Now there is a dog that is liver and white and ticked in my mind. Love the color and the dog.

Great to see someone is still trying to keep the breed in tack by showing and trialing both.

Bruce, Rick likes bout anything if he is winning. Takes me back to the year he beat me for High Point by 1 pt. But he has a nice dog and it is amazing how Fritz has jumped into anything he does and does it well. The dog has amazed me. We went to the show today and Fritz was having a ball. I think he knew where every squeeky was in the building.

OHHHH, I HATE squeaky toys!

One of Dalins Best of Winners was in a horse arena just after a couple of Wrens flew down out of the beams and landed on the fence right in front of him on the down and back and he flash pointed in the ring! I about dropped, but I think the Judge actually liked it. When Jen apologized for Dalin pointing to the Judge, he said...."Well, that's what he was bred for!" Gave him BOW!

Squeaky Toys......Different story  Puts him on Search and Destroy!

OHHHH, I HATE squeaky toys!
I am with you!!:)

Wish us luck...in 2 weekends Fritz will go to his first OUTDOOR show! Can't wait to see what things AMAZE him there (birds possibly???:)
But he has a nice dog and it is amazing how Fritz has jumped into anything he does and does it well. The dog has amazed me. We went to the show today and Fritz was having a ball.
Trainability and temperament is the key!!!! Fritz certainly has both and it has come in handy while turning him into a show dog:)
