Doug and Heather Miller's dog Mae took 1st in the OLGD in Hoffman this weekend with birdwork in the deep stuff right before time. Birds were hard to dig up as these pre released birds get out of Dodge when they hear you coming. Didn't have to go in kicking for sure. His Lady dog was in the money in the Ogd till a scattered covey un nerved her a bit but she put down a heck of a race in the AGD the next day. Bird work may have changed a few things in placements. Congrats to Doug and Heather, maybe they can post pix later.

Good job Team Miller! Good to see "Brown Dog" keeping on a roll! I'll never forget those first Quail points she had here in the yard as a pup and asking you; "You thinking about Trialing her?" :D

Thanks for the shout out Tony. Thanks Bruce and Mo. You guys have both helped us more than a little along the way.

Bruce I remember you saying that and looking at you like you were crazy and I had no idea what you were talking about. Now I got horses and a trailer, training grounds lease, trips to the prairies and who knows what I'm not including. You stuck me with an awesome hunting dog, than can get it done in FT's too.

Mo you always said Mae would get hot and and would do some winning when she did. Guess you are right. Last three trials she has run in 6 stakes total and won 4. She got lost on point in 1 and went birdless at hoffman in a wild bird(pre released in sept) trial. She has managed to make me look like I have half a clue what I'm doing on the other end of the whistle. We aren't done yet though got a few more trials to run before summer starts in a few weeks.

What has been great for me is to watch how much you have come on as a handler and trainer, now don't get a big head lol. I enjoy watching how people develop with their dogs.
