New to forum, new Brittany owner

Post by Chiwawa » Thu Mar 07, 2013 4:56 pm

I have been lurking and reading and learning a lot from you guys. This is a great forum and I appreiciate all the knowledge contained here. I just had to post a pic of my new Brittany. This is Belle and she is 8 weeks old:

This is the first time I showed her a Quail wing.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

We got her from Austin Creek Farms in Hayden, AL. I'm new at the pedigree thing but her sire's father was Nolan's Last Bullet (http://www.beelinebrittanys.com/buddy.php). Her breeder doesn't show his dogs, he just hunts them. Her Dam's side has a pretty good pedigree, too, from what I remember. I have it all with her papers. I'm still trying to figure out what all the awards mean. Her breeder says there are a lot of Dual Champions in her line, too. He has her sire's pedigree on his site (http://www.gundogbreeders.com/pedigree455.html).

Ain't that the truth. We have a floor full of chew toys and she always seems to find a shoe, belt, power cord, or something she doesn't need to have. Just passes by all the stuff we put out for her and sneaks around and finds anything we didn't intend on her getting. I told my wife last night we need to try to hide all her toys and see if she digs those out and actually starts chewing on those instead of her shoes.

Well, you really need another one...don't you?

Puppies are great and she is a really good little dog. It's been over ten years since we've had a pup around the house. My whole family is having a ball with this little Brittany.
