Thunderhead Crew

The weekend was pretty good for the Thunderhead dogs. Three different trials and the dogs earned 15 ribbons. 6 of them were those pretty blue ones. :D

Two dogs ran at Des Plaines in some pretty challenging weather conditions, Thunderhead's Outrageous Otto MH took 1st OGD, and 1st ALGD, VC Thunderhead's Brawny Bruno MH took 3rd in OLGD and 4th in ALGD. Down in KY at the other 2 trials where the weather was much nicer than up north, :), Thunderhead's Compass Rose MH took 1st OGD, 1st OLGD, 2nd OLGD, 4th OGD. FC VC Thunderhead's Hot Pursuit MH took 2nd in ALGD, Thunderhead's Mighty Brute MH took a 4th in OLGD,
Thunderhead's Aurora Borealis Placed 4th in ALGD, Thunderhead's Son Of A Brute Took 1st AGD, 1st ALGD, 3rd OGD and 3rd OLGD.

Don't believe I have heard anyone say a dog can't cut it in field trials because the owner decided to play NAVHDA instead. BUt as we both know some dogs do not do well in trials and many of those will do well in NAVHDA. I believe dogs do pretty well in whatever they are trained to do. It is nice to see dogs given the chance to perform in both. There are many that could do it if given that chance and some that wouldn't do well. But that doesn't say those are poor dogs at other activities.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

It's been pretty good on here the last few years. In the past it's been stated many times on here by Some FTers that NAVHDA dogs did not have the range or style to compete in FT's but trial dogs could easily compete in NAVHDA. Not trying to open up a can of worms just stating fact. Now, I Agree with you and always have felt it's the direction the owner chooses to take their dog.

Congrats Ron and Deb! I am loving seeing what your dogs are accomplishing. I am so excited to be 10 days away from what looks to be a bunch of Rowdy pups. I can't wait to get them headed in the same direction.

Thanks. We will be hitting a trial for the next 3 weeks in a row. Exciting times when puppies are on the way! I suppose Daysha is getting pretty big now. Zoey is due on the 24th, and an xray showed 8 pups waiting for the big arrival day. I am hoping some of the folks who will be getting one of the Sonny/Zoey puppies develop them to their fullest potential.

Excellent job Ron. Your dogs do great, didn't Neal just finish his dog? Your one of the best breeders/trainers/owners I know period.

Neal finished Chase with a 4 point OGD win last Sept after the NAVHDA Invitational. He is working on finishing his AFC now.

We had a mixup on this topic through no fault of Ron or the Thunderhead crowd.. It was a case where I misidentified an individual who sent a PM that made no sense. I got confused on who was who with the handles that get used. Ron Was completely innocent and even refuted the PM'ers comments.

Sorry to all of you for my error and especially to Ron..
