Nami ran Tucker in Finished in the HRC Test hosted by the Lower Columbia Retriever Club last weekend.
He passed both days, picking up ribbons #41 & #42.
They are now only 60 points away from the coveted 500 point jacket.
When Nami was running him in the Water series on Sunday, a well known pro was sitting next to me in the gallery.

So when Tucker went out for the LONG middle mark (picked up outside - outside first). Just as he got to the "area of fall", a hen Bufflehead flushed (fly along water, swim, fly along water, swim, dive etc). Tucker, of course went for the wild duck.............. Nami blew the SIT whistle and handled him off of the Buffie and right to the mark.

The pro sitting next to me has watched Nami and Tucker develop since Tucker's "Started level" days. He was very impressed and said, "WOW, Doc, that was excellent perserverance by Nami and Tucker. She and her dog have come a long long way in the last three years ----- I'm very impressed !"

That's a great testament to your wife and the hard work you're putting into the dog. I sure wish my husband would do more with our young chessie - he has the makings of a real duck dog - but the hubby really just wants a "meat dog." I'm having a hard time convincing him that blind marks and doubles would be worth the work in the end. I'm ending up doing a lot of the training with him (the dog) and I've got a lot of my own I'm trying to work (pointing breeds though). I am by no means an expert on the retrievers anyway!
