First broke dog placement

The Western Michigan Weimaraner Club held a field trial at Ionia field trial grounds in Michigan. My boy Jackson turned twenty one months old Saturday. I handled him off horse in the OLGD. I was proud of his run I knew he did good. When the placements were read I held my breath. Fourth not him, third I'm holding my breath not him, second could it be no not him. I'm disappointed I just wanted to place well maybe next time then first and they call Jackson. I'm floored not only did we place we won a 3pt major. Our first time placing in broke stakes. Jackson wasn't done though. We ran the OGD that afternoon. When they announced the call backs Jackson was one of the four dogs. Jackson made short with of the retrieve. When placements were announced Jackson was awarded second first was with held. We finally broke the ice I am proud of my boy.
Not bad for a Derby dog.
