First Setter

Post by CTPaul » Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:03 am

Although he is my second bird dog he is my first setter. I've been working him on just the basics; here, whoa and heel but have been getting him out for field runs whenever possible. He shows a ton of drive even with just the tweety birds and is a much bigger runner than I am accustomed. I've got the spring fever after our run yesterday so I had to snap some photos. Here he is standing a few tweeties.

He is a nice looking dog. The more you can get him into birds, the better off you will be.

Good luck and have fun.
