Have to start with full disclosure in that I'm a noob to pointing dogs. My understanding of owning a GSP is the versatility of the breed. So the question, are these "points" or not?

Pointing an ant and pointing a cloud that looks like a quail. so totally yes those are points.

Yes, totally - you can obviously see the style and intensity. Never mind the fact that the quail in pic 1 has burrowed underground (the dratted subterranean subspecies) while the one in pic 2 has flown away.
