Regional Champs

Post by lvrgsp » Thu Mar 01, 2007 9:38 pm

Ok I know this is not dog related, but this evening my daughters 7th grade volleyball team won their reg championship game in 3 matches, and they carry a 16-3 record into sectionals next Monday, when they win there they will be in the first round of the Illinois state 7th grade volleyball tournament. For the tournament she had over 20 kills and over 20 service points, sorry for ranting, just a proud Daddy.

Thanks Clark, What makes it even sweeter is my wife was an allconference v.b. player and has coached our daughter since the womb and half of her teamates so these are her babies she is seeing develop, we really pushed there development last year, it's good to see it is paying off for them.

Thanks,
Chip

It was a big win for them going into state tourney play, hopefully a few days off will do them some good, they have had 3 big matches in 5 days with 2 hard practices in between.

Thanks, Ya'll

Thanks everyone, We sure are proud, one thing my wife and I teach our girls is first you gotta have fun, we enjoy so should they, it should never be forced upon them, second that they are not only making a commitment for themselves but for there teammates, along comes self respect, respect for others, and that the wins just don't happen they are earned from all the little things you do, we demanded that on and off the court, my wife coming from a long line of teachers in the family, we also helped them with there homework assignments at practice, in return all of our girls made the honor roll or high honor roll this year.
Thanks for allowing me to ramble I know many have and will be in my position sometime and I look forward to hearing your of your sucess.
