well we went to ellis Ks for last weekend hunt.
and for all the nay say'rs that say pointers dont make good phez dog
we hunted friday with temps in the 70's and pointed 7 phez and 3 coveys of quails all bird were held
to flush its just to bad that all the phez were hens but one that one my 15 year old step son wacked
we hunted sat morning and pined down 11 phez and one covey of quail droped 3 quail and one phez 10 hens got a pass but the dogs got to see many many birds sunday morning we were getting ready to leave and figured we would work one small draw and my male worked all the way to the end of the draw snaped to a point with not much in front of him i was thinking come on dog there is no bird there but to my surprise up came phez and a quick draw he hit the ground not stone dead hoped a round little so i sent the dog after him it was fun to watch the dog chase the wounded bird flip and flop and dog on top then to see him grab the bird and proudly retrive to hand like it was made of gold
